The Week In Review (18/11 - 24/11)
The blogosphere was pretty much shaken up by the Googlerization this past week, with many everyday bloggers in the PayPerPost network getting their blog’s PageRank annihilated to ground ZERO! Amdist all the chaos and uncertainties, there are still much postive vibes and healthy pulses beating in other aspects of this vast community and we are here to bring you the ups and the downs! As they saying goes, “the show must on….“.
- Early in the week, news filtered through that CashQuest dot com was sold for a BIN price of $15000. I’ve been a fan of Kumiko since her blogspot days. Her abilitiy to call out SCAMs right in their face won her many fans and stirring up controversy by disabling comment on the popular CashQuest only made her more popular! She is one talented lady whose personality precedes that of the blog itself. This blog was very fortunate to have won a free review from Kumiko, which brought a nice volume of traffic (and is still sending traffic here) here. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Sayonara Kumiko san…..thanks for the memories, it was great blog reading experience while it lasted.
- While many Posties whose blogs got nuked are picking up the pieces and rebuilding their “lives”, Snoskred wrote a massive post about the recent Googlerization and question whether Google is the new terrorist? Google are trying to change the blogosphere forever by planting fear into minds of bloggers and webmasters. These people are frightened. These people are terrorized. These people are under a lot of stress because they don’t know what will happen next. Her advice is never negotiate with a terrorist. Rather than be frieghten into submission, Snoskred is holding a little competition to celebrate her PageRank drop. Don’t take PageRank too seriously folks, let’s celebrate together with our mate from Down under.
