Portugal Knocked Out
The newspaper headline said it all isn’t it? Portugal were outplayed, out-muscled, out-gunned and out-witted by the super efficient Germans. Portugal is OUT of Euro 2008 after losing 2-3 to a German outfit missing key defensive midfielder Torsten Frings and suspended coach Joachim Loew, who watched the match in a viewing box up in the stands.
Despite being tagged as pre-tournament favorites and widely tip to win Euro 2008, Germany had not been living up to expectations coming into this game. In fact the Germans were written off by fans and football pundits and their backs were up against the wall. But when push come to shove, the Germans proved their mettle and showed the world what they are made of.
My money was on Portugal to win the Championship, and now that the proud Portugese peacock had their feathers plucked and sent packing home, I need to find another team to support. Germany, anyone?

Hmmmm….not doing so good on the predictions anymore. At least I don’t have to pay attention to the tournament to know what is happening because you’re telling me all the important stuff.
This Euro 2008 was a real spoiler for me on the betting front.
