Make Money Online With Performancing Ads

PerformancingAdsOne of the prizes for my First Anniversary Blog contest is 125×125 button ad spot book on Performancing Ads on my sidebar. In case you haven’t heard, Performancing Ads is a recently launched blog advertising service developed by bloggers for bloggers to make it easy for you to buy, manage and sell 125×25 button ads.

How it works
The Performancing Ads network is open to all publishers big and small. It is a ad network with a self service system where advertisers sign up, select the publishing sites, submit ads and pay for them all via Performancing Ads.

Advertisers buy ads on a weekly increment. This lowers the threshold for advertiser entry. As a publisher, you set the price of the each ad on a 7 days basis. You can also set ads to be no-follow ads (or not). Performancing Ads offers a 60/40 revenue share, with the publisher getting 60% of what the ads sell for. This will be tiered up as high as 90% for publishers for ‘better performing publishers’

In addition to selling ads, all blog publishers can book their own 125×125 ads. You can use Performancing Ads to promote affiliate offers on your site or promote your flagship content. This is where I will be serving a few lucky winners’ 125×125 button using the Performancing Ad Wordpress plugin. To kick off the new network, Performancing Ads is offering $25 off an advertiser’s first purchase of $100 or more.

Life Time Referral Program
You will earn $10 for each new publisher or advertiser you refer to Performancing Ads. On top of that, you also get 5% from any ad sales generated by the new referral … for life! To be counted as a referral, a referred publisher creates and installs an ad region for at least 1 month. Therefore, simply signing up through your friend’s referral link and not doing anything after that is not good enough for him to earn that referral fee.

I’ve always believed in and preached a diversified monetization approach to making money online. If you haven’t given PerformancingAds a try, now’s a great time to get started. Sign up for Performancing Ads.

iPhone 3G Finally Coming To Singapore

The iPhone 3G rumour mills have been on overdrive over the past week where speculation was rife about whether Singapore will be among the 20 or more countries that iPhone 3G will go on sale on August 22, 2008.

SingTel, the first telco to offer the phone here, has so far kept very quiet on this whole iPhone thing, until last night when I received this mailer in my inbox.

Yes!!! The Apple iPhone 3G will finally hit our shores on 22 August and Singtel customers will be among the first in Asia to get this super sleek and ultra-cool mobile gadget. The iPhone 3G is coming to Singapore!

Tens of thousands of iPhone 3G reservations had been made (including mine) on the Singtel website, and priority will go to those of us who had made reservations. The nail-biting wait is nearly over as the official launch is just days away! I can’t contain my excitement! After such a long wait, it felt surreal just to say this, “The iPhone 3G is finally coming to Singapore!”

World Cyber Games 2008 Asian Championship

The World Cyber Games 2008 (Asian Championship) came to town over the weekend and I spent Saturday afternoon at the competition venue to check out the proceedings.

Adopting a racing theme this year, WCG2008 is the Game Festival of the year here in Singapore. The event is more than just watching top gamers from the region fight it out in popular games like DOTA All-Stars, FIFA08, and Virtual Fighter 5, among others.

There were exciting fringe activities like Fastest Geek competition, CosCon 2008 and Racing Kiddo contest. WCG 2008 Asian Championship was not just for the gamers, visitors young and old were not forgotten by the organizers.

I remembered when the WCG2005 Grand Final was here back in 2005, I had a very enjoyable experience watching top gamers pitting their skills against each other on stage and the online actions were beamed live on giant screens.

Hence, it was with high expectations that I went to this year’s WCG but came back with a few disappointments. First and the most visual gripe, the venue suffered from very poor lighting. As you can see from the video, the competition zone and the main stage area were very dark and it wasn’t the most ideal of conditions for my low-end video camera. On the other hand, the sponsor’s booth over at Samsung was too brightly lit and the lighting contrast really shows up in the video.

Secondly, I didn’t get to see any game’s final being played out on stage during the afternoon I was there. It was a disappointing irony indeed.

Thirdly, and due entirely my fault in getting the timing wrong, I missed the Cosplay competition and can only record the video of the Cosplayers mingling and enjoying their own little party outside the exhibition halls. It was the first time I’ve seen so many non-press photographers out in full force trying to get their best shots of the Cosplayers and their colorful costumes. Their DSLRs and high-end prosumers made me feel so inferior with my out dated point-and-shoot digital camera.
