The Internet is growing at an exponential rate, resulting from greater masses attempting to earn an income online. There are many monetization avenues available for your website but in order to earn money, you need to attract and increase online traffic coming to your website. The best way to attract organic traffic is to rank as high as possible on the Search Engine result page for your targeted keywords.
One of the best ways to get search engines to index your website is to get other websites to link to yours. Link popularity, which is the measure of the quantity and the quality of the sites that link to yours, is the most significant factor the search engines use for determining how well a site should rank for its keywords. Link popularity is the measure of the quantity and the quality of the sites that link to yours. Getting text links from popular and high ranking sites that are relevant to your niche will increase your link popularity and boost your sites rankings.
Getting incoming one-way links from high ranking and relevant sites are easier said than done. An easier and less time consuming option available is to buy your way in, that is, via text link brokers or networks. One such company that provides link building service is TextLinkBrokers.com, which has built a solid reputation by combining quality link services with extraordinary, U.S. Based, customer support.
For the most part, paid links will generate a lot more traffic then exchange links, due solely to placement – advertised links are usually presented on prominent pages with a lot of visitors. Anyone serious about getting top search engine ranking knows that acquiring text links from other websites is absolutely essential.
There are 10 more days to go to the 2008 FORMULA 1™ Singtel Singapore Grand Prix. After the many motor sports events and promotions held earlier as a lead up to the F1 Singtel Grand Prix, the likes of Hamiltons and Raikkonens will descend on our shores next week! No matter how many F1 simulators you may have drove in, and how Singtel touted it as the closest you’ll come to racing a Formula One car, it is just not the real thing. F1 fever is here in town and the count down to the real thing is truly on!
The inaugural FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix will take place on a street circuit of public roads around the Marina Bay area. The race will be the first held at night in FORMULA 1™ history and is the first street race in Asia. Consisting of 61 laps over a total distance of 309km, the race will be in an anti-clockwise direction as can be seen from the race map below.
Today is Mid-Autumn festival (also referred to as Mooncake Festival or Lantern festival) and celebrations abound in every neighbourhood. I chose to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and reunion with my family at the Lantern Fantast 2008 at Chinese Garden.
Probably inspired by the Beijing Olympics held earlier and also as a prelude to the F1 Grand Prix first night street race, this year’s Lantern Fantasy at Chinese Garden features the ever-lovable Hello Kitty and friends participating in various sporting races. They will all be here – Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Bad Badtz-Maru, Pom Pom Purin, Minna No Tabo, Keroppi and Cinnamoroll! Crafted by the skilful lantern craftsmen from the Szechuan province of China, on display were the traditions of Chinese lanterns with a modern twist featured in eight different races like F1 races, scooter races, tricycle races among others.
The highlight of the Lantern Fantasy 2008 sits grandly in the Stoneboat lake of the garden. 15 colorful and majestic sailsboat with Hello Kitty and friends racing in the lake.
Come and be a part of the experience that will glitter, shimmer and light up your nights! Happy Mid-Autumn festival, wherever you may be!
Taking a break from my mundane routine and the predictably wet weather of late, I visited one of the newer iconic monument in the ever changing Singapore tourism landscape – the Singapore Flyer.
Standing at a stunning 165m, equivalent to the height of a 42-storey building – Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel, edging the famed London Eye by some 30 metres. There are 28 capsules, each measuring 4 metres x 7 metres – about the size of a city bus. Each capsule can carry up to 28 passengers.
As the capsule slowly ascended and you break through the clouds, you’ll be treated to a visual 360° feast of iconic and historical landmarks such as the Esplanade – Theatres by the Bay and the upcoming Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort and views from the Marina Bay to the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place and the Padang. There is no other place in Singapore that offers these breathtaking, panoramic views.
One complete revolution on the Flyer took approximately 30 minutes but I’ve snip and compressed the below video into a more manageable screen time, coming in just under 7 minutes! Join me for the ride in this one-of-a-kind experience and enjoy a bird’s eye view at the top of the world!
After debuting successfully in 2007, Games Convention Asia 2008 (GCA 2008) is back and will be held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18 – 20 September 2008. This year’s theme for the convention is “Inspire Yourself“.
Games Convention Asia (GCA) is the “Digital Media Gateway of Asia.” Described as the only event in the Asia-Pacific region enabling the interactive entertainment and digital media industries to network and interact with publishers, developers, distributors and corporate clients while showcasing their latest products and services to the public, GCA serves as the platform for Asian publishers, developers and distributors to present their work on an international level. The conference also acts as an entryway for companies seeking to enter the Asian interactive entertainment market.
I can’t believe it’s been a year since I attended GCA 2007 and blog about it here, sharing with you the sights and sounds of the exciting debut event. In 2007 the first Games Convention Asia attracted 70,000 public visitors and 1,000 professional visitors and media representatives, and GCA 2008 promises to be even bigger and better!
The breath taking fascination of the virtual world at Games Convention Asia in Singapore is the must-see and try experience for every keen gamer. GCA is the place to meet for entertainment-interested maniacs in the Asia-Pacific region.
Having attended the World Cyber Games 2008 (Asian Championship) and AsiaSoft Game Fest 2008 earlier this year, where I had so much fun enjoying the games and the colorful events, I’m really looking forward to emerging myself in the virtual world at GCA 2008!
