MRT Stations Open House
The new Pioneer MRT and Joon Koon MRT station were having open house today and I was there to have a look-see and bring you some sneak peeks.
These 2 stations are an extension at the western end of the East-West line and will become operational on 28 February. It has been 4 years of waiting from me for the Pioneer station to open for service as it is located about 3 minutes walk from my flat! Here’s a look at the Pioneer station from the outside.
This was what greeted me when I approached the Pioneer station.
Inside Pioneer station, there was a party and carnival atmosphere around as game stalls were setup to enetertain the visitors.
Then I took a free train ride from Pioneer to Joon Koon station and was excited that I was among the first to be here.
