The Trains Are Coming!

Welcome to Pioneer! Sweet words indeed… words I’ve been waiting to hear for the last 4 years since the first foundation was laid.

Pioneer and Joo Koon MRT stations, which have its open house last week, are an extension at the western end of the East-West line and start operating from 5.30am today.

The train en route from Pioneer to Joon Koon station will pass by the Jurong West stadium.

Here’s a closer shot of the train on track.

Now journey with me as I take my maiden trip from Pioneer station to Joo Koon terminal station (2 mins journey) and the return trip continues on to Boon Lay station.

Did you get in on the christening ride?

There were free rides offered in the Open House 1 week prior to the train service turning operational.

I guess you can call that the christening ride, well, sort of.
