Tweet Your Way To Success

According to a Nielsen Online survey, Twitter grew a whopping 1,382% from February 2008 to February 2009, registering a total of just more than 7 million unique visitors in the US for the month of February 2009.

Since joining Twitter back in January 2008, I had been a lukewarm user at best. Recently, I picked up the Twitter bug again and started following more people, especially local tweeters, and actively engaging in this micro blogging community. Well, I guess I’m making up for lost time.

In less than a month, I made many new friends on Twitter, shared and visited many interesting websites via links on tweets, and were surprise to find some of my tweets and replies being featured on some tweeters’ blogs. Even better, I have reason to believe these exchanges helped contribute to an increased in this blog’s traffic of 43.3% during this short time!

If you are still wondering what this Twitter craze is all about, here’s a video explanation of Twitter in plain English, not in geek speak. Additionally, make sure you equip yourself with some Twitter Terminology in order to stay on top of all the jargon and lingo.

If you haven’t jump on the Twitter bandwagon, hesitate no more, even the Third Reich is on Twitter!

Great news! I think the best is yet to come for Twitter. Now that there’s a Twitter-Facebook app, the growth will be massive. Can’t wait to see the figures ahead.
