Three days ago, the hopes of a nation were raised when the Singapore under-15 football boys defeated Montenegro 3-2 to top its group and made the semi-finals. On day 8 of YOG, the Cubs faced Haiti, a team that only confirmed its participation 6 weeks before the start of YOG. Alas, the pressure and expectations proved too much a burden for those young shoulders to bear and the Cubs crashed to a 2-0 defeat in front of a sell-out crowd to a determined Haiti side.
