YOG Day 9 In Pictures
After the disappointment of watching the Cubs defeat by unfancied Haiti in the football semi-finals, Singapore sports fans were once again rooting for one of our own, this time in the women’s table tennis singles competition.
Isabelle Li faced China’s Gu Yiting in the final of the women’s table tennis singles competition but had to settle for the silver medal when she was beaten in straight sets by the world’s best player in junior level.This is the 2nd Silver medal for Singapore in the inaugural Youth Olympic Games.
