PAssion Run 2012
The 100PLUS PAssion Run 2012 was back with a different format this year. Touted as “Everyone’s and anyone’s race”, this year’s race came with eight categories spanning 1.2km to 30km, spread over two days – a sunset race (fun run & 9km run)on 10 Nov, and a sunrise race (12km & 21km) the following day.

Due to this novel concept of a two-day event, the turn out on Sunday was relatively muted compared to previous years. It didn’t help that another mass run (women’s only) was held in the same morning. The 21km run started at 7am, as with the recent adidas KOTR 2012, the scorching heat proved to be the bane of most runners.
With many new races jostling for running slots in the Marina Bay area, it has been a while since I ran at East Coast Park. The route was mostly flat, and relatively straight forward, allowing me to run a controlled race despite the heat.
The running singlet and finisher Tee both came in bright orange, and it is safe to say you will not see me running in them. Trying to differentiate itself from other races, this year’s finishers did not receive a finisher medal, instead a paper weight was awarded, much to the disdain of many runners.
