Kumiko’s Cash Quest

I had blog about Kumiko’s Cash Quest earlier, having participated in her “Predict My PageRank“contest, where I boldy predicted a PR6 but narrowly missed the actual result as she got a PR5 in the latest update. I did not win the $30 cash price, nor did I get to guest blog on her blog (priceless), but that is all water under the bridge now.

Kumiko’s Cash Quest is one of my daily must-read blog, her writing style is witty and funny, and at times, edging towards being sarcastic. She writes wonderful, flowing posts, offering great tips and resources, useful for newbies and seasoned bloggers alike. Viewing her weekly earnings report is a great source of motivation for me.

I got hooked on Kumiko’s blog after enjoying myself reading her post on “6 Lessons Britney Spears can Teach You about Blogging“, it’s funny and informative at the same time. More recently, her post on “6 Free Ways to Turbo-chargeYour Blog” offered some great tips which I’ve implemented some, like getting a make-over, installing a favicon and joining the “DoFollow” movment.

I just notice her blogging tips mostly come in 6s, does Kumiko has some kind of fetish with the number 6? Then why didn’t she get a PR6 for the last update?

Entrepreneurial Blog of Matt Huggings

For this blog review, let’s take a look at the Entrepreneurial Blog of Matt Huggings. If you believe his tag line, Matt Huggings is an aspiring internet entrepreneur who is using his blog to show you how to make money online. This blog is hosted on a standard 2 column Wordpress “Beach House” theme and if you look hard enough, you can find Matt showing you some Blogging SEO basics for Wordpress blog.

Matt is trying to get out of the 9-5 job scene and into a comfortable work-from-home environment. He is working hard online to achieve some great vision of his and get some of his projects kick-started. So you can bet Matt is talking the talk and walking the walk.

Besides working on his mega project of completing an online dating website and several other smaller scale projects, he is also running a “Make Money from Yor Blog” series where he’ll touched on different monetization opportunities in Adervetising, Affiliate, and Sponsored Post Programs. I caught up on a few posts of the series and I must say, the articles are very informative, incorporating screenshots of the “how-tos” and “where-tos” to achieve better visualization for his readers. The amount of details that Matt put into those posts are huge, so huge that I actually find them too lengthy at times.

In an effort to get reciprocal links with other blog authors and publishers, Matt is offering a mutual blog review program (similar to my Review exchange campaign). If you are planning or are already on the path to monetizing your blog, this Entrepreneurial Blog of Matt Huggings offers great money making ideas and resources to start with.

Chris Merriman – My Online Guardian Angel

It is not often that someone appear in your life and exert a positive influence that results in a life-changing experience that shape your life. My online “guardian angel” appear in the form of Chris Merriman, who, with his encouraging words and kind advices, had and will shape and guide my online life, and influence how my blog will turn out.

I stumble upon Chris’s “Kazakhstan Blog“, from John Chow’s “Review My Blog” and wrote to him to request for Technorati Favourite and review exchange. What I got in return was his Fave exchange and more, much more! Chirs offered his kind advices, commented in my blog posts and also send his advices via email. Chris had also posted a flattering review of my blog. I felt totally humbled and honoured.

So who is Chris Merriman?
In his own words, posted as a sort of online CV, “Chris Merriman is an enthusiastic & skilled IT specialist with a record of success in user support. He is experienced in the implementation and use of major software applications and operating systems. Self-motivated and able to interface and work effectively with all levels within an organisation and an effective problem solver with the ability to apply new solutions to current situations.”

His enthusiasm and expertise in IT skills is evidence in his blog, I can totally vouch for that from his advise and solution about the casues of my blog’s slow loading time. If Chris can reach out to me, a total stranger who is thousands of miles away, and mentored me and exerts influence to my blog in a positive way, I do not see any reason to doubt his ability to interface and work effectively with all levels within an organisation.

Needless to say, ChrisMerriman dot com will feature highly on my daily must-read blog, if anything, you should visit his site regulary for interesting articles and/or money making resource/tips, internet news and much much more!

Mini Blog Reviews – Batch 2

In this second instalment of mini blog reviews, I’ll review 3 blogs which I’ve come across. Not in random order, here goes my review:

Sarah over at “Somewhere Over the Debt – A girl’s Journey to Make Money Online” started the blog to share her efforts of creating multiple streams of income and her journey towards being debt free. With her ninja marketing skills and web design skills, she had set out to make a living making money online so that she can be free to live life on her own terms and be in control of her finances.

The blog’s header graphic depicts the blog title with 3 doves flying pass a 6-colors rainbow.
Why only 6 colors? Shouldn’t a rainbow have 7 colors? Well, my best guess is that once Sarah becomes debt free from her online money making venture, the 7th colors will appear! Seeing this picture coupled with the title, reminds me of the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.

Sarah is a single mom, a graphic/wed designer, musician and online marketing ninja, all rolled into one beautiful package. She is available for freelance design projects like web design, blog design, print projects and so on. Visit her portfolio at Stellar Creative Studio.

Next up, we ‘travel’ to Malaysia to uncover some “hidden conspiracies”.
There is nothing freaky about “Hidden Conspiracies“, which is a blog started by a guy from a city called Miri, in Sarawak, to make money on the Internet. This blog is inspired by Darren Rowse at problogger.net and is where he documents his journey to make money as a problogger and other various means to achieve his goal to be a millionaire before he reaches 30 years old.
most of the blog post are either about his journal and money making ideas. So, if you are interested to find out about making money online, please do stop by.

Our last stop for this mini review bring us to India, where a 17 year old boy will show us many tips and tricks of blogging via his blog, “I Blog – You Blog“. I first stumble on this blog in March and got really interested with his blog post “Extremely effective way of blogging” where he posted a step-by-step tutorial with screenshots, of using voice recognition tool for blogging! What a cool idea!

I was very impressed by his strong knowledge in blogging, considering his tender age. His blog is ads-free, a rare find nowadays, where every blogs in the blogosphere seems to be monetized.
He is in the process of changing his blog to a new template and he had promised his new template, when completed, will be damn sexy. Check it out for yourself and prepare to be impress.
