Office Pet Peeves Freakout!
As if we haven’t got enough of blogging pet peeves to deal with, those of us who have day jobs and who don’t have the luxury to work from home or tele-commute, got to put up with even more pet peeves in the office!
In a recent online poll conducted by market researcher Harris Interactive, it was found that work colleagues who spend their day gossiping, organizing their home lives, or who press “reply all” on e-mails are among the biggest nuisances in the office.
Humans are basically creatures of habit. Even with the modern office landscape changing rapidly, the employees’ behavior and responses to office pet peeves don’t seem to change with times. The survey described 7 office pet peeves and I paraphrased it into a list as follows:
1. Gossiping (60%)
2. Poor Time Management - included people making personal phones calls at work or surfing the Internet during work time. (54%)
3. Messiness in communal spaces, such as unwashed dishes in the kitchen sinks. (45%)
4. Potent smells

Too funny and very true!
Which part is funny? That I’m a walking heart-attack waiting to happen or……? LOL!!
Hey I noticed your avatar shown in comment is different from that in the Recent reader widget. What’s up with that?
I love to gossip but I don’t have time.
All the times I have , I use to look for opportunity where I can earn money and more money.
That is why I can turned $4,733 into $45,700 in 5 years, a wooping 865% !
Jamy
Wow Jamy!
That is time well-spent indeed!
My pet peeves include lazy people and loud talkers at work…dishes in the sink at home…hate it.
It freaks me out when colleagues attempt to organize their personal lives during work. Have you heard of “tele-baby-sitting”? It’s happening in my office! Dishes at the home sink, well, it’s a necessary evil, unless you have domestic worker to clear them.
